9.30.2014 0 Notes Fall Brunch

In Southern California at this time of year, fall weather is hard to come by. Luckily over the weekend, we seemed to pick up a breeze that's making it feel more like fall everyday! We even had clouds (I know what you're thinking, SD has the best weather... I mean don't get me wrong, that is soooo right, but I miss the fall season too much here!) To kick off the celebration of my favorite season, I've put together a go-to outfit for Sunday Brunch during the fall!

My go to essential for Sunday Brunch is always a maxi. They are so comfortable and have that versatility needed for brunch festivities! To add some fall flair, I paired it with this amazing yellow sweater and I threw on my fave fall must have: the floppy hat! I have totally been wearing the hell out of this hat, and I will continue to do so. CAN'T. GET. ENOUGH. period.

Sweater: TopShop (old, similar here) | Dress: Nordstrom | Hat: Nordstrom | Watch: Michael Kors

What's your Fall Brunch go-to piece?

Umm, can we talk the Sam & Libby Fall Collection for a minute. I mean, WOW. I was impressed. After missing out on the cute Spring Collection with the two-toned, d'Orsay-style flats (which I totally regret not snagging a pair btw), I was pleased to see that Sam & Libby has upped their game and brought their a-game for the fall! Not to mention, they added handbags... I die.

These are my favorite pieces!

9.22.2014 0 Notes Falling for Flats

I am always on the hunt for great pairs of flats and I am SUPER picky about them. They are either too covering, uncomfortable, digging into the back of my ankle, or something else that is totally not worth the pain and suffering. Lately, I've been doing a lot of online browsing looking for staples to add to my fall wardrobe and these lovelies caught my eye (a few of them are even on sale!!)!

This season, there are a few trends that keep catching my eye: Jewel Tones and Blush. The two above (1 and 6) help add those trends to your fall collection while still being so versatile! I love the bling that the Tory Burch mayada SUEDE SMOKING SLIPPER add with the encrusted jewels on the toe (1) and the feminine silhouette that the scalloped edges on the Steve Madden CITYGAL offer a simple touch that would be great with a pair of leather leggings or ankle jeans (3).

Another favorite I've had my eye on is the J. Crew Collection Harper Calf Hair Flats in the Saddle Black color choice. You can never go wrong with a cheetah print pair of flats and I love the subtle neutral tones that this pattern boasts (4). These are 25% off with code SHOPFORFALL on their website!

I've seen a lot of the d'Orsay style flats around and I am so drawn to the shape of the shoe! It's overall flattering and I love that the middle is so open (7). These J. Crew beauties come in black, grey, and a deep violet suede color options and are also 25% off with code SHOPFORFALL !

Of course, I'm an absolute sucker for anything with bows! The Tory Burch Vanessa flats with the embellished bow (8) and these Sole Society black and white loafer flats (5) are perfect!

Check out all these amazing flat options here:

9.07.2014 0 Notes Dirty Deets: Apartment Revamp

I've been on a major redecorating binge as of late, so I wanted to share the #dirtydeets of my latest inspiration! It all started with that FAB Mexican blanket above that I stumbled across on Instie the other day by Gunn & Swain. The colors and the vibrancy would make it a perfect accent and conversation piece in my little tiny studio, right?!

From there, I decided to incorporate a lot of crisp, clean, flowy whites, including the white sheer curtains and white bedding (which I already have). I thought some pops of gold, silver, and mercury glass would also add a touch of sparkle without adding to much more color to the mix and without being to gaudy.

The colored arrows came to me while adventuring over the weekend in downtown San Diego. I was exploring through the shops at Seaport Village (which btw if you haven't been it's so cute! totally touristy but so cute!) when we stumbled into Seaside Papery and they had a ton of these awesome, hand painted arrows displayed in various ways. Some were in vases and some were horizontally nailed to the wall.

I have been looking for inspiration for this super awkward wall I have in my apartment. To give you an idea... the wall behind my bed has two windows. They are not centered in the wall which drives me crazy to no end. So on one side, there is this like 2.5ft wide blank space and I have been searching for something that would go perfectly in that spot. These beautiful arrows have my heart and totally go with my "getaway" theme.

Loving the idea of adding a touch of bold color and some new pieces to my home! Excited for everything to come together! Not to mention, this inspo totally goes with what I've got going on on my outside patio area!

Shop the post here:

3. AMAZING Gunn & Swain Mexican Blanket.
